THE PEREGRINE FALCON
The obverse of the coin features the right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt. The reverse captures a view of a peregrine falcon swiftly descending upon its prey. Its beautiful wings are fully spread, as are its tail feathers. The bird’s eyes are fixed upon a single focal-point as it closes the distance to its next meal.
